3. Mobile App for Drivers (Nely Drivers)

Nely Drivers is the mobile app (Android and iOS) used by delivery drivers associated with businesses operating with Nely.ai. Its function is to assign deliveries, guide the driver's route, and share their real-time location with the business to coordinate dispatches. To accomplish this, the app requests certain device permissions that we detail below with complete transparency.

3.1 Data collected by the driver app

• Precise geographic location (GPS), even while the app is in the background, during active deliveries
• Driver identification and the business they're associated with
• Status of assigned deliveries (on the way, delivered, etc.)
• Basic device technical information and network connectivity

3.2 Permissions requested on Android

• Precise and approximate location (ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION, ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION): obtain the driver's GPS position to display their route and track deliveries
• Background location (ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION): continue sharing location when the app is minimized or the screen is off
• Foreground service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION, WAKE_LOCK): keep GPS tracking alive even when the system tries to close the app
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): display active tracking notification and new delivery alerts
• Battery optimization exclusion (REQUEST_IGNORE_BATTERY_OPTIMIZATIONS): prevent the system from stopping tracking to save battery
• Device restart (RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED): resume tracking after restarting the phone without having to manually reopen the app
• Internet and network status (INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): communicate with our servers

3.3 Permissions requested on iOS

• Location while using the app (NSLocationWhenInUseUsageDescription): display driver route and track deliveries in real time
• Location always / in background (NSLocationAlwaysAndWhenInUseUsageDescription): continue sharing location with the team even when the app is minimized
• Background modes (UIBackgroundModes: location, fetch, remote-notification): maintain location sending and receive notifications of new deliveries

3.4 Background location usage

The app collects the driver's location en segundo plano solely for the purpose of sharing their position with the business while they have active deliveries, so that the team and the customer can see the order's progress. Location stops being shared when the driver ends their shift or logs out. While tracking is active, a visible notification indicates this.

The driver can revoke any of these permissions at any time from the operating system settings (Android or iOS). Revoking location permission will disable real-time delivery tracking.

3.5 Who this information is shared with

Location and delivery status are shared exclusively with the business (Nely.ai client) to which the driver is assigned, for the sole purpose of coordinating and tracking deliveries. We do not sell or share driver location data with third parties for advertising or commercial purposes.

We use the information collected exclusively to:

• Provide and improve our automation services
• Personalize your experience on the platform
• Process payments and manage your account
• Send important communications about the service
